HARLEM, MANHATTAN (PIX11) β An NYPD traffic enforcement agent was sprayed with a fire extinguisher while on duty in Harlem last Thursday, according to authorities.
The 43-year-old agent was in uniform near St. Nicholas Avenue and West 118th Street when he was approached by a gray sedan, police said. A person in the gray sedan then sprayed the fire extinguisher into the agentβs face, according to authorities.
The car fled northbound on St. Nicholas Avenue. The agent was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital.
One of the suspects was identified as 19-year-old Escarlin Polanco Gonzalez, according to authorities.
